lesson 9

My mother taught me that, sometimes in life you get wrapped up in the wrong person. Which leads you to lose a million of the right ones. She would say, "learn to choose good people for you baby, so that you can be open to all the right ones that come along in life." I guess I've always thought about my people choices before I made them. Everyone who is in my life, is there because I wanted them to be there. At some point in time when I first meet someone I know I'll love, I subconsciously tell them that I want them in my life.

You can always tell when someone is wrong for you. You can feel it. If they tend to make you feel less than what you're worth. Wrong. If they make you question whether you need them in your life. Wrong. And you'll probably feel like you can't live without 'em, well guess what, you can. Sure, they might be the right person for someone else, that's okay. But for you? Nah. For some odd reason, wrong people are sometimes so attractive and addictive, but they are wrong. All the signs will be there and it is so important to steer clear of them, because they have the ability to change you. You'll find that you'll attract more people like them. Don't lose yourself in a wrong person. You'll treat people like them. You'll become that person. Don't be that guy. Remember why they were the wrong person in the first place and remember that you don't want to become that. It will make keeping them at a distance, or shit actually, OUT OF YOUR LIFE easier.
