reoccurring

My late brother came to me in a dream last night.

I've had this same dream at least 3 times already. This is the 4th. I'm starting to believe he is trying to tell me something. But for some reason my subconscious isn't picking up on it. Although, I do have my own theories. As Tongans we are naturally superstitious, most of us anyway. And I'm sure we aren't alone in believing that dreams have different meanings and some deliver a specific message. Anyway, on to the dream...

I was at the airport, sitting in a waiting room. You know, the area where they call you up for boarding. Except I know that in an actual airport, you're not even allowed to go that far just to wait for an arrival. First sign I knew that I was dreaming. But it felt real, in a sense that I could smell the coffee they brew in a small cafe or the convenient book shop filled with souvenirs for travelers from all over the world. One thing I knew without a doubt, is that I was waiting for his arrival. So I sat there eager and fumbling with a page from a book I read in Jr High. The book was called, "The Singer of All Songs" by Kate Constable. It's an actual book and it's exceptionally good. (off topic) I'm not sure why I was holding it or even reading it at that point. My eyes were fixated to the huge panoramic windows that was in front of me. I felt time stood still as I marveled at the view. It was the most brilliant sight I have ever beheld and yet it was almost blinding to where I had to squint. The weird thing is, there was nothing physical outside that kept me in awe, it was just bright. Sun rays lit up every row of chairs on each side of me. As if God parted the clouds and was descending down to earth from heaven himself.

I wasn't sure where my brother was coming from or maybe, I didn't remember. As I'm sitting there still marveled, a plane came into my view. I used my right hand to shade my eyes just so I could see. Suddenly there appeared the ground but everywhere around was still white. The plane, had no logos on it and no color except for white. And the only reason I know it was the plane is because the windows were black. Otherwise it would have just camouflaged right into the background. It flew and landed right in front of the window I was looking out of. There's people now at the bottom, preparing to greet these travelers. It reminded me of when there's people waiting on the rich and famous to descend like in the movies. Out opens the exit door, and in a single file line, people come walking down. And they aren't wearing regular clothes, they are wearing garments of only white. Exactly how people who work in an LDS temple dress. I found it rather odd that they were also, glowing. As if they took  fragments of the sun and  used it to sew their clothes. Saying they were beautiful, would be an understatement. As each person came out and was greeted. I frantically started searching every face for my brothers. I was standing up at this point, carefully observing every person for something familiar but I couldn't find him. As the last person walked down from the plane, I instantly fell into a gentle reverie. I saw my brother running through the airport from where he was coming from. He was rushing and seemed panicked. I heard them call out his gate number so many times but he kept taking the wrong turns or ended up on the wrong floor. Finally as he makes it to his gate, it is only in time to watch his plane lift off without him. I felt his anguish as his heart broke because I woke up to my husband yelling at me to wake up while tears were streaming down my face. His pain felt real. And to wonder if his soul is somewhere out there just waiting and hoping and wishing that someone here in the physical life could just help him get ..   I don't know why it's always so sad when he misses his flight. I feel like that plane represents something important and I also feel like, that's the next step he needs to get into where ever his soul needs to go. But he can't board because maybe I am suppose to get right with my life... idk. I feel crazy thinking about this type of stuff. I'll keep tabs if anything else comes into my dreams. For now I'll keep praying that these dreams are just dreams and not something more.

That's all from my neck of the woods,

peace.
