"And you, my love...

with your incandescent beautiful little soul, have made my night better."

I needed to escape my house, even if just for a little while. It didn't feel like home with all the stuffy unsettled tension in the air. Lucky for me, Leon was feelin' the same way too. So we decided to hangout at his grandparents house since he had to house sit for a bit. I find it odd that his grandparents were rarely ever home, but Leon says that they're always travelling and somebody usually watches over the house when they're gone. I would of asked more about it, but I decided against it. Anyway, like me, he feels that Halloween should also be a week long celebration. With that, he pulled out a bunch of 90's thrillers. My favorite, especially Buffy The Vampire Slayer... even though it's super corny.

So there we were, watching Buffy in silence and dwelling in the land of not coping. And I liked it that way, hoping Leon wouldn't ask why I wanted to hangout. Cos well, let's be real, we were both shocked that I had actually called him. I think I was more shocked then he was. Oh well, sometimes in life we do things that we don't necessarily have reasons to. And I hope for some of you, those choices didn't lead to anything bad. ;) Anyway, sadly the silence didn't last long. Leon turned to me and said that he had a girlfriend. Well, sortakinda his girlfriend. He pretty much ran on her time which wasn't much when it came to him. I felt bad for the kid. But he didn't seem too bummed about it though. I had nothing much to say except, "she's a jerk, your cool..." yeah lame I know. I wasn't up for putting in my two cents cos 1) I ain't no rebound and 2) I ain't no home wrecker. Relief rushed over me like chocolate waterfall. Leon was cool, but knowing that we weren't going to possibly date soon was wonderful. I'm content with being single, and having someone reveal feelings and such after I've given love a break is annoying. I mean not that I'm assuming anything would happen between us, I'm saying that's what usually happens when I befriend boys. Not that I'm bragging, oh you know what I mean, right? It's not like I like him like that anyway. Ugh, this is dragging on longer than I had intended.

Our time was cut short when my mom called and asked if I could come home cos my aunt and cousin were over. I got up to say goodbye and totally did a curtsy becos I'm just so awesome. Okay, I felt dumb and made my way out, didn't even have to ask, becos seconds later Leon was following behind me. I know now not to argue with him about walking me home cos he never listens anyway. When we got to my house (which wasn't very far) he leaned in for a hug and I stuck out my palm to give him a high five instead. He respected my hand and gave me a high five. Then he said I'm a weird girl (which I took as a compliment) and started walking back to his grandparents house. I like being able to hangout with guys and just be friends and just be cool without laced feelings. M'hm.
